They would prefer I dated a Nigerian that spoke the same language as me, so if I brought home a Jamaican, it would be no different than if I had brought back a white man. I think in my own world the lack of freedom to comfortably bring home who I am dating to my father would be the tricky part of dating a black girl like myself.
